Helena Hastie - Certified Bookkeeper
Helena is qualified as a bookkeeper and is regulated by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. She offers
full bookkeeping services along with VAT returns and the preparation of end of year accounts for sole
traders, partnerships and limited companies. Her career includes administrative roles in the charitable
sector and most recently running a successful online retail business. This business provided great
experience in the bookkeeping needs of a small business.
"I ran my own online retail business from 2009-2014. Learning through experience
taught me how tricky it can be to keep accurate records of all of your transactions and to comply with
all tax requirements. I used the services of an accountant to help me get to grips with the business
accounts and then took the step of training to do the accounts myself.
This experience of running my own small business along with running a family of 4 children has given
me a helpful insight into what kinds of assistance small businesses need.
I live with my family in Talaton, East Devon."
Helena specialises in setting clients up on cloud software; VAT compliance including the VAT margin scheme;
and doing self assessment tax returns.
